Default The fastest car with or without timeslip?

So here is the question...officiailly there are cars that say that they're quick and produce timeslips of their best run. What if that car lined me up on a stinking hot day and I kicked its butt with a slower time than its best?

Does this mean he is still the fastest car even though I flogged him on the day at the same event but with a slower time than his pb?

I'd say the car that's run the numbers is faster.

I'm sceptical as to how this applies to AU wagons :P

I'd say it depends on the scope of the judgement.

If your car beats the car on the day, then your car is the quickest on the day ;) But that's like me when I beat an R34 GTST... And when I beat an LS1 ute at the Bairnsdale 1/8 mile. Their best times would kill mine, but due to their stuffups I was quicker on the day :

However, with the other car having an overall quicker slip from another event, it should still be seen as the quicker car. Unless of course it used to be a 400rwkw 11 sec monster which has since had its running gear replaced with a sedate 100rwkw 17 sec setup.

Your question makes comparing apples with apples difficult! Are we talking Red Delicious or Jonathans here?

Has to be based on the best timeslip. This is because it works the other way too. What if you have a slower slip but have since made major mods? Do you get to claim you are quicker?

In the end its a difficult deal to work out so its easier to keep it simple. Quickest timeslip is quickest car.

Assuming (for example) that the nasty 454-powered Torana hasn't had a Starfire replacement and the owner is still bragging about its 9 sec pass ;)

But that (and how I touched on that in my previous post) are bordering on silly.

So in essence I 100% agree with Casper here ;)

What if I beat that car 10/10 times? He is really not the quicker car at all. But he has a quicker timeslip. So despite his great timeslip I whip him each and every time... I know I am getting a bit knit picky ..but you are right to keep it simple the quickest time slip is the quickest timeslip despite him getting flogged.Technically on paper correct but in real life not so..

it all comes down to the size of your... err... numbers... Agree with Ghia5L - relies on scope. If you were quicker on the drag day, you can say "i have a quicker car today"... However, if you're comparing the cars themselves, obviously the best time prevails.

Have you smacked an 8second T'rana, useless? :P

Maybe it depends whether the other car backed his good time up or not. A dodgy timeslip (never to get close to again) is not unheard of.
If he has backed it up I would say he gets the money.

Well unless something drastic happened to his car, either he is lying, or you are. Is this a hyperthetical question?
