When I lived i the UK, I dreamed of getting an Escort RS Turbo. 'Her indoors' wouldn't let me so settled on a 1986 Sierra GL. Not quite the same really.

Edinburgh is very nice, how about when you walk around the corner into princess st (for the first time) and see the castle on the hill...

Got this done @ studio 13 in Edinburgh

Getting a hire car from London, have 7 days to go do a lap of scotland. Ford Focus 1.6 is what I'm getting. Will pop in at Edinburgh for sure!, want to see lock ness! Yeah! :-) Cant go to scotland and not have a look for nessy!

whats the speed zones like there on motorways? is it slow going in the countryside, or pretty good speeds?

make sure u get a TDCi focus cos the fuel over here is sky high...max speed on motorway is a boring 70mph an watch out for the new speed cameras we have, they measure ur speed by how fast u reach the next camera etc tho normal ones are usually bright yellow...

country roads are a 60mph limit tho only when there is no small villages/towns etc that u gotta pass thro

I was over in the UK last year and there traffic cops/cameras are nothing like we suffer here, espicially in Vic.

We drove from our place just outside of London to Wales, then back up the coast to Blackpool and averaged 150km/h in aToyota Carina with not 1 ticket :
