Default LCD Monitors

Hey I was wondering if anyone can help me out on this. I was looking at buying a 19-inch LCD monitor. I found these two on Ebay which I'm interested in -

Benq
Proview

I know Benq is a pretty good brand from what I've heard but I was wondering what people think of Proview? I like to Proview because its widescreen (an extra 5cm width to the Benq) but it loses out on height by more then 10cm (a lot), but would this be OK because its widescreen? Any opinions/suggestions would be appreciated.

firstly only worrying factor with ebay is untrust worthy sellers and transport

anyways.... most brand name inc those ones should be in the 8ms ball park.
compare the max resolutions with a few, prices dont mean everything.
also digital or analog inputs..or both on the LCD monitor

few things ive learnt from working for the Good Guys in tville..
3yr warranty on some of the best brands ... yes this is full warranty and everything EXCEPT dead pixels... only one brand has the dead pixel anywhere warranty
also these days screens can move 90-180 degrees to make portrait/landscape screens

stay away from the built in speakers! speakers are no good, more equipment usually means lower quality on monitor parts..

you wont like widescreen in things that dont support it... in other words when in widescreen either the top gets cut off, or the sides get cut off, or both, or the screen is stretched and thats not good!
benq are usually first to make some new tech like 4ms screens good prices and build quality.

had a proview monitor with my Hyundai computer back in 97? all i can say is cheap *** but whatever

EDIT:
benq are great screens obviously not the best but definently great screens
proview - go for the benq
tried samsung? - they make EXCELLENT screens
sony - damn expensive
LG - << dont trust them anymore

P.S. HDD is great made some noises but thats def aus post handling for ya..thanks again

Thanks heaps FALCONSR, I think I'm gonna go a Phillips from that other post, they seem to have a good price and good quality, plus its a known brand.

I bought an LG LCD 19" Monitor with 12ms for $380 some months ago brand new, picked it up and all. Not a bad deal I thought.

Was from a shop in Mulgrave.

I have the samsung 19inch widescreen.

Hi res dvi input, 0 dead pixel warranty (so as perana said.. even if you get a half dead pixel, new monitor thank you for three years) I extended mine to five.

i paid very very little for it ;) 420 with ext warranty. remember its widescreen too.

Hey Lukey,
Where are you thinking of buying?

I'd reccomend MSY with their 0 dead pixel warranty on all monitors, and they're dirt cheap.

Personally, I'd go a samsung, but the choice is yours.
