Default Pinball Machines

I have nearly finished my rumpus room at home and i'm looking at some entertainment, i have got a pool table ready to go and i was considering a pinball machine, i have looked on ebay but refuse to pay 5k for a reco model or $3500 for a secondhand that needs TLC, does anyone know of a cheaper place to buy ? i am also considering a stand up arcade type game as well, i think $3500 would be better spent on a keg with tap and cooling system.

Years ago I used to repair pinball machines and had heaps of spares and manuals that I just took to the dump.

These included an almost complete "Playboy" machine and 3 unopened manuals.

Probably a silly thing to do really.......

There was / is a guy here in adelaide who builds those sit down table top game setups but made it look supercool and built in every game you could ever think of ( some 100's ), sat down and played it a few times and it was fantastic, space invaders, pac man just all of the old stuff. from memeory it was around 3K.

if you want can follow it up for more details

an old time slot machine would be good as well, why not have the beer and the fun as well.

I was looking at Pinball machines on eBay a little while back to see what they were going for. I found probably one of the greatest machines there.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/The-Simpsons-...QQcmdZViewItem

Probably a little out of your price range though.

Get an arcade machine of some kind, get your mates to pay the dollar a game or whatever(make it cheaper than it normally is). That way, in time, it'll pay for itself! Once it has paid for itself, buy a keg!.

A friend of mine here in perth is one of the major distributors of games to timezone and other arcade places, he is also the sole distributor of soccer tables. He is currently looking at building brand new frames for those sit down games but has yet to confirm a price, he also has games like daytona and other car games.

He is in Perth but if you're interested i 'll get his number and you can call him with something specific...he does pinaball machines aswell

everythime we have parties we're always fitted out with atleast 3 games..

I would LOVE a pinball machine, I spent a lot of my youth and a lot of dollars playing them. My favorites were 'Kiss' and 'Meteor', at least they are the ones I remember.

Comes up pretty pricey though!

there used to be a place near the hallam train station center rd i think
they used to sell&repair arcade/pinball machines
you could also build a pinball emulator (pinmame)
have a look here for building ideas http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/

Pinball's are worth it. We've got one in our room and it's great fun when everyone comes around.

If not that, I suggest air hockey =)

I found this website, full of very useful info:

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com

i might give it a go, i'm good with the jigsaw and craftwood.
