Default Probably a stupid question..

Hey guys, im probably going to get flamed for this, but did AU II falcons come with 16" as standard? or 15" the same as AU I's ?
(forte/base model)

They needed the larger 16" wheels for the bigger brakes (for the fronts).

Exactly ALL AUII's all models had 16" wheels to clear the new front brakes.

AUI 15" wheels will fit on the back of AUII but not the front. AUII wheels fit on AUI. AU wheels wrong offset fo E series need adaptors.

sorry but not all AUII's had 16inch wheels.. i have a series 2 ute and its only got 15's on it. and it clears the bigger brakes. but they are the standard ford mags made by ROH for ford

are those adaptors easy to get your hands on seeing as they aren't exactly legal. as u need engineers certs.. what sort of shops would u get them from.. mag wheel shops??

only reason i was asking because i hate the au 1 hub caps, and wanted to bang a set of au II ones on cause they look nicer lol

not interested in putting mags on it at all

Correct, AUI and AUII utes got 15's, AUIII got 16' iircs. 15's defiantely clear the brakes. The upgrade from ford was most likely purely for looks.

Put EF/EL hubcaps on it. I saw an au1 wagon with el futura hubcaps on it and it looked pretty good.

AFAIK this was for 15" one-tonne tyres which only became available later in 16" (Cargo S's) ..
