Default Website Builders

Hi all, I'm looking at getting a website built for the Business and wanted to know if any of you knew some good ones out there that will give me a good product at a decent price.
Cheers.

This depends entirely on what sort of site you intend to build, you use different tools for different jobs. Business site is a pretty broad description, it can be anything from a full catalogue e-commerce site to "my name is bob iand here is my backhoe for hire".

What do you have in mind? Self Host? Self Author? A few more details and I can maybe offer some suggestions.

ok ive got an idea, lol, im sure big_pete would be interested (maybe), it would be a chance for him to get up some more experience, make some money, and also he could add it to his resume if he likes. but its all up to him and all depends on if he has the time. Just an idea.

me and a friend have got a webiste ready to roll, but the banks are being dicks about getting e-commerce setup.

Anyone have any tips to get a payment system setup, just to accept a membership payment, with annual renewal?

id be happy to have a go at it, but like RED_EL_XR8 said it depends what he's after.
at this stage im not profficient enough to do a fully fledge business style site on my own, but if its a simpler site id definately be interested in building you something, im sure i wouldnt charge too much either ;) as im still learning and dont have the qualification of the pro's.

but again it all depends on what your after.........

Basically I'm after something to advertise and showcase my business with. I'm after something to say who I am and what I do and also be able to put up sections with my work for everyone to see. If you guys have a look at some local Airbrush sites you'll get the idea. Idealy I would love to set up a site like this one Killer Paint but not with the flash viewer, I would prefer to have the pictures open in a new window. Also don't need a merchandise section, intro or a front page (go straight to the home page) come to think of it I will only need half the stuff on the site. Let us know what you think.

Those requests are pretty straight forward. How often do you want to update to keep interest? And how do you intend to send people to your site, or do you want the site to find people for you?

What the hell! I didn't know I could get a website to try and find people for me? I don't know a lot about them, I would probably look at monthly -fortnightly updates. At the moment I'm only trying to get my product out there for people to see, mainly the guys on forums and then word of mouth stuff.

by the sound of it i would be capable of building you a site, by what youve said.
if you dont want flash or php or much like that i could definately do it.

however i wouldnt be able to do hosting or anything like that, which you may be able to if you go to a pro.

PS. that Killer paint site is quite cool! i love that guys work
