Well it won't damage the clear coat if I ever take them off. Might have something to do with the lack of clear coat though.

You should always use an official "lube" cos vaseline dissolves condoms (and gloves), making them less effective, and also holds onto any germs that maybe around cos it's so thick (and who wants a petroleum based product anywhere near their bodies?)...

Not that I know ANYTHING about this kinda stuff, it was information from my friend's cousin's brother-in-law's nephew's friend :
