Hi all, I've been putting up with this one for a while now, on and off. The error message is always the same, "Internet explorer has encounted a problem and needs to close" due to adobe flash9d.ox??
It only ever happens here at AFF and mostly just after I do a PM. I can be on other forums with other pages open and not a problem whether its a single tab open or multiple, but as soon as I add AFF tab then its just hold your breath, cause you know its gonna happen. I'm running the latest version of the Adobe flash player add on for IE7 and the lastest version of every thing else from the micrsoft update site for XP SP2. Am I the only one with this problem? and does anyone know of a quick fix? I've read the other thread relating to this problem ages ago, but its still the same. Oh and I do press the "send error report" button every time and swear as I do .........it makes me feel a little better. Cheers Bundy.

Hi Bundy
Basically it contained the same information as posted above by SgtBourne - the banners at the top of the page use flash for their animation and those without the more recent clients may experience issues. Cheers Russ

I know he has the most updated one available (as he even put that into his first post )..
I did receive an email notification about it from whoever it was when mine kept doing it 5 minutes after updating adobe. The message basically said they have no fix for the issue at this stage, well thank you for getting me to update to then break the computer :( I ended up restoring to a point before the last update and now it is running good again. Stupid adobe updates :(

I just loaded it onto my machine and it seems to be running fine on IE7. Well, at least I opened lots of tabs and no crashes .... yet.... :

I don't know of a solution to your IE problems however, and I may have missed this, but have you tried Firefox ? www.mozilla.com. Its, in my opinion, a lot better then internet explorer and never experienced half as many problems as I have with IE in the past. It has a lot cleaner design and will let you know when you need to upgrade certain parts or upgrade them for you.
Its pretty much a standard for web browsers nowadays due to its reliability and user friendliness. Ignore this if you have tried firefox. cheers martO
