a hell of a lot smaller, but that fish does have certain pirhana like visual characteristics. like the redish tail fin, but it might be a genealogical mutant or a pirhana rooted a barramundi.

It's not a Pirahna. They are smaller and have triangular razor sharp teeth.

I have no ideas what that is though !!

yes I have seen those hippos mouths. massive they are when their jaws are open.

This fish is nothing Ive ever seen though. Stuffed i came across one though.

That is a Tiger Fish.

My dad and his mate used to fish them in the 1960s on lake Kariba in what was then Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. They used to hold a Tiger Fishing comp every year on the lake, its the biggest man made lake in the world. Check it out on Google Earth on the Zambia Zimbabwe border.

This is a barracuda we got in vanuatu a month ago, the choppers were bigger than the dogs...had to watch handling them as they were extremely sharp, hence the gloves when I picked it up!
