Default Forza 2-Dodge too powerful

Oi anybody else here got Forza 2 on XBOX 360??

I bought a 1969 Dodge Charger and dropped a 514ci Hemi Crate engine in it and the bastard is a pig to drive. It spins up too much and drifts everywhere I've upgraded all the hanling but shes still too powerful.

Any ideas here I'm faarkin broke now.

either have a cry and restart the game or maybe you could go and do some other races, sell you massively over powered car at a loss and buy something that will work, but if it is the set of races i think it is, Just learn to cope, spend a week trying to race.... when you crash again, restart the race.....

You can never have too much power!!!! Even in a game lol. Just learn to drive it sprint car style.

If you persist you can control it, have to be very clean in this game and have throttle control as well as being good with oversteer at times as this sounds!

A little tip - if you are not very good at setting up cars then try to use an existing car (i.e. like a modded car you won from another race) that can win it for you or just do sensible mods, also don't try to complete all the races in order as you will end up buying cars to use that you could have won for nothing in another race.

Hope that makes sense.

Yeah those overpowerd v8's are a bit tricky to drive.

I had a twin turbo LS7 in my Z28 camaro making 736kw could only get all the power to the ground halfway into last gear before that is just wheel spin

Yes they are hard to drive though I love listening to the 69 chargers growl, its bloody realistic for a game.
Does anyone know why there are no point-to-point races and NO DRAG STRIP???
Andd why can you only get a maximum tyre width of 355 on the charger???

Apperently they're making a drag strip that's going to be an update soon or you buy it with xbox live points.

A 69' Charger was made for straight line speed not taking bends my friend...plus a 514ci V8 (8.4 Liters) is a monster of an engine, can you imagine the torque that thing would make, it would be a handful even with the widest tyres on it...

Just tune up the stock 440ci Magnum...it has more than enough grunt IMO

I've got plenty of money earnt again I just poured a lot of money into the Dodge and want to use it. I noticed the 2005 SRT8 Charger can take a Hemi engine swap as well. My main complaints with the game are:

1)Not enough cars, where are the Falcons and Commodores???
2)No drag strip or drifting etc.
3)If you sell cars you won you only get a 100 bucks.

Other than that it's a very good game and a good simulation. If you have a front collision the engine gets damaged. I had to finish a race with the engine missing at high revs and pouring out smoke. If you really smack it the engine wont rev past 2000rpm and wont make more than 10kw.

That telemetry is amazing.

BTW do you think making the gearing taller might help???

I think there are more than enough cars. Australia's market is a drop of water in an ocean in comparison to the markets most of the cars in the game come from. You can get a Monaro though (Pontiac ;))

Yeah but Gran Turismo has the Commowhores, FPV GT and FPV Typhoon. I think they have V8 supercars as well.

Juiced 2 also has the Falcon and Commodore.

Need for speed had Falcons and Commodores up until Hot Pursuit 2 with the HSV GTS and Ford TS50.

The other cars are thin on the groud. No production BMW's apart fron M3 and a huge lack of musclecars like BOSS 302etc. Plenty of faarkin Jap cars though :

Well we knew the car list before it came out (and they've added more since then)... if you were that worried about the cars in the game you should've read the car lists and made your mind up from that.

Get a Buick Regal GNX, you can put 435 wide tires on it and also a 7L corvette engine swap.

If you want drifting and drags, get latest Need for speed Pro Street. It has more variety than forza, there's even drag races where you can do wheelies.

Forza still has more realistic handling.

Hmmm I find the highly powered cars aren't necessarily the best race winners... funnily enough.

Pretty much any of the big block hipo cars in Forza2 are bitches to drive. The Lingenfelter Corvette is nearly impossible to do anything with.

Even when driving as carefully as possible and paying particular attention to the timing and quantity of throttle application the car just is too much.

That's why you hire a driver

My charger had everything imaginable done too it, widest grippiest tyres and it still spins through 6th.

I only got it more of a novelty though. The best car I have is the Ferrari 540TR.

Yeah once the power levels start getting ridiculous I switch TCS and STM on, and make sure I have decent tyres.

I prefer driving my cars with handling improvements though. I have an F355 Challenge at 850 (top of A rank) car level that is very short on power compared to other cars in it's class. But it kills everything else in braking and around corners, plus I fiddle with the gearing and drive ratios to make full use of the gearbox on every track.

soften the rear spring rate and raise the rear tyre pressure about 5 clicks, that will help!

it all about throttle control really.

best of luck!
