I nearly choked on my sandwich when I saw this on Serious Wheels earlier today...

2008 Bitter Vero Based on the Holden Statesman, the limited production Bitter Vero is selling for €122,000, or approximately $175,576.

The... Vero is based on the (6 liter V8) Holden Statesman. Changes include different front and rear fascia, new hood, upgraded interior appointments, and improvements to the suspension and brakes.

Remember too, that $175K is in US dollars...

Evolution at it's best....in the 60's and early70's we took que's from ugly American styled Fords and made our own hot looking home grown Falcons.
Now they've taken a reasonably smart looking statesman and made it a fugly American bucket.

The yanks do have a funny sense of humor when it comes to designing cars. Just take a look at any of the new offerings they have in the Ford line up, someone needs to belt the designers over the head and drag them out of the 80's.
