Default a bird and foxtel

hey everyone.
have 2 things to share

i got foxtel yesterday. how good is it! i got the best package free for the first month. i love discovery because of like american chopper and american hotrod. is there any other shows about cars that anyone recomends?

The other thing is i found a little bird that had fallen out of his nest and he was on the ground. i couldnt find the nest anywhere so i have him in a little box in some tea towels and im feeding him every 3 hours with baby bird food mixed with a bit of water using a syringe. am i keeping him warm enough do you think? any advice on anything to do with keeping a baby bird alive is much appreciated. he isnt very old. just seeing feathers in some spots.

cheers

theres heaps of car related shows, a few good ones are thunder races (on in about half an hour), overhaulin, a race car is born, wheeler dealers.

With the bird, maybe call the rsvp or a fauna refuge for some advise

All the best!

If it's an Indian mynah, neck it while you have the chance.

precisely,

More likely the bird has been kicked out of its nest by the mynahs. The sneak in and lay their eggs in with the native birds nests then hatch first and kill the native babies while the native mum feeds it.

Biker build off goes allright, Deadliest catch is good, Formula D, and of course, NHRA drag racing on ESPN! Not sure if they are still racing tho.

Get Select TV instead
They have "Discovery Real Time" channel 24/7 car and bike related programs. Plus "Discovery science and tech"..which is umm.... science and techo shows 24/7 Also has top gear and 5th gear.

Heaps cheaper then f-tel too! ($35.00 per month for top package, no contracts, jsut pay month to month.

There is another show called 'Pinks?' i think?? Where two different workshops race for each others cars.. Best of 5 i think and they can change the conditions of a race; e.g no use of nitrous, headstarts etc...

IMO, it's awful. The two shows are barely comparable. Top Gear is more entertainment based and 5th Gear is probably more factually based. I've tried my damndest to like it but I can't get past the 5 minute mark before I bail on it.

To the OP, save the cash on Foxtel and tune into Channel BT! I liked Foxtel initially (and that was before they bombarded it with adds) but after awhile it becomes 40 channels of nothing interesting besides repeats.

If you were 'tricky' with your install, you could add say a 3-way LNB holder and use all LNB's vis;

ONE on Intelsat 8 (Ku) for SelecTV.
http://www.lyngsat.com/intel8.html

ONE on Optus B3 (now Optus D2) for say Russia Today, Press TV and if you have kids; 'Smile Of A Child' etc.
http://www.lyngsat.com/optusb3.html

ONE on Optus C1 - this carries Poxtel, but also Aurora AND the free to air AlJazeera International.
http://www.lyngsat.com/optusc1.html

* When returning to SelecTV, it can take a few second to a minute for the card to update.

LNB holders, see Magic and Super:-

You need this switch:-

what sort of bird? as said if its a indian miner, get rid of it. The sort of care/food it needs depends on the bird.

Doable with most decoders IF its not the UEC brand. Decoders range from cheap to expensive.

See the links.

Man Vs wild, Miami Ink and overhaulin are prob my faves.

They do show a lot of repeats on cable, but I work a lot, so, if I know what's on when, I see all the good stuff anyway.

Naah I just gota steerable 2.3 metre dish with a dual band c/ku lnb!
All the sats I want!

You neglect to mention that aurora/select/ f--ktel are all pay services and need cards that cost $$$ (Gammas dont reliably work and are illegal)

Im gunna get a 65 or 85 dish with 2 lnbs for the living room TV. One on Pas8 for select and and 1 on D1 for imparja and southern cross as well as ABC and SBS on the different time zones, catch up on the various shows I miss or clash.

My current set up is in my back room "dads play room"
