hey
i have a 1980 2lt escort panelvan and got these numbers off the diff and was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if the ratio is 4:11 or not 9K5N 3.5 4:1 75AC4005AFA thanks |

according to my service manual 2L escorts have 3.54 and 1.6L are 3.77 although panelvans may be different ??

The panel Vans had the same diff ratio's 3.54.1 as my 2ltre sundowner had and what the no's are telling me that you have posted. I removed a couple of diffs of the little 1.6 powered vans and they were all 3.77. Maybe the MK1 1.3 litre Vans might have had the 4.11 in them

ok i was just wondering because i read somewhere that some of the 1980 mk2 panelvans came out with the 4:11 diff ratio

My 1600E came with a 3.89:1
replaced it with a 1300's 4.11's Why don't you raise the car and rotate the tailshaft untill you have one full revoltion on the wheel, (make sure that both wheels turn or you'll be WAY out)

If its the original centre to match that tag its a 3.54:1 ratio as the tag states.
