Default Open uni

Im thinking about enrolling in a course at Open Uni (internet based universtity). Has anyone here enrolled in a course at Open uni. I havent heard of anyone who has and would like to get some feedback to see if its worth doing or not as it can be quite expensive.

I am doing unit numbers 13 & 14 at present for RMIT Bachelor of Technolgy (formerly Bach of Applied Science)

I find it relatively easy all round (the IT process & course content), but i think it depends on what department/uni is running the show.

You need to realise that it is still tertiary education so you need some aptitude for the subjects, and also some IT/ application knowledge.

PM or email me if you want some further insight

I did a couple of subjects a few years back to finish off a degree.

It's good if you're self-motivated - because with very little contact from anyone you really need to be.

Not so good if you're a procrastinating slacker like me though.

I haven't done it but I did enrol but got into a uni so didn't bother with Open. But it looks really good, my friend does it and he likes it and its pretty flexible especially if you have work and stuff. Go for it I say.

Started my Bach in Criminology and Criminal Justice through Open Uni.. the great part of using them is that you can pick and choose subjects from quite a few Uni's and still get a complete degree.

Another bonus is that it is a heck of a lot cheaper than attending a Uni

But of course there is a downfall and that is that you have to be extremely motivated to get things done when needed (bit like what knighto42 said)

Good luck with it all
