Default FPV and HSV Car Rentals?

My humble apologies for a long winded break away from the forum...

I wanted to know if anyone else out there has heard about a FPV/ HSV car rental company somewhere in QLD/ NSW. The story may be a little mixed as its probably been passed down the line a few times. From what i was told the rental is somewhere around $300-$400 per day inclusive. I'm sure the deposit and excess will be very high though. If anyone knows or has details on this Company, I would certainly appreciate any information.

You could almost just imagine it, one mate hires a FPV and the other a HSV to do your own comparison test drives around the mountains and straights. How much fun would that be. BUT i'm sure you wouldnt want to crash either of them cause it would probably end up costing you the same as though you bought one yourself.

Thanks guys...

Pretty decent prices if they're unlimited mileage. If I was considering an HSV I'd hire one for the weekend. Taking a car for a jaunt once around the block doesn't really give you much feel for a car.

Scary - what is the standard rental excess for a HSV / FPV.. ?

Just imagine the test pilots hiring these things.

Mate, I cannot tell you for sure they have FPV or HSV's as its been a few years since my sister was married and we hired a BMW convertable from this place, They had a lot of "dream cars" back then. I have not been able to find a web site for them either.

i saw an hsv ve gts a few months ago, sitting at the lights and i was walking up the sidewalk , hadn't seen one before that in the flesh, as i got closer i saw the 'supercar rentals' sticker on the rear bumper. of course the guy cained it as soon as the lights went green. i was thinking to myself.. poor bloke, here he is thinking everyone is recognising him in this expensive performance car, probably paid through the nose to get it for the day, he probably doesn't even know the sticker is there.

That's how I found about their web site.

By the way, the sticker is quite small and is quite inconspicuous

Hi guys, bumping a very old thread.

However I am heading down to Perth next weekend, without the wife and kids and thought I might spoil myself....

Is there anywhere in PERTH I might be able to hire an FPV or similar? ie a really nice XR or something?

I've looked on 'Drive My Car' but nothing exciting in Perth.

Only looking at needing it for 3 days.

Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise I will be getting around in an awful hyundai or something.....

Hertz may have an XR6 if you request one.

Thanks SpoolMan, will give it a go. I will be ringing around tomorrow once I confirm details tonight.

Does anyone else know of other companies offering something more exciting?

Hertz have an "adrenaline collection", but not every branch has the full range.
I've hired the GT86 a couple of times, and they do have a Porsche available in the range..
