With the " optional timer" it could be used to torch a building ( pardon the pun)while creating an alibi

I just watched the little movie file on it when they cook the egg, and he is wearing a glove to protect himself from the heat when he touched the egg ring, BUT at the end off the file he then picks up the egg ring with his hands and moves it so it can't be that hot.

In my opinion, complete waste of money... In what way or appliance would it be usefull? I mean, going out for a walk in the bush at night, it only lasts 15 mins. What happens when there is a black out. They sometimes last a lot longer then 15 mins, hehe. Also, it says 6 months warranty. Iwonder why its so short. By 6 months all the materials would be fried!

It's not intended as a day to day flashlight. Its something different, I don't think I will take it camping. If I get a bit of enjoyment out of it then who cares.

Imagine doing that scary thing to kids where you put a torch in your mouth to illuminate the inside of your face.... this thing would blast through your eyeballs and fry your brain - Now THAT would be scary - and most likely a little funny too.

Exactly! Like you said before why buy a 270kw Typhoon if not just for the enjoyment.

Be carefull. Such a device may be construed as a catagory R weapon which, if you are lucky, will get confiscated by customs/AFP.
If unlucky you will be in a WORLD of hurt particularly after the green laser/aviation incident.

Without me hitting google, what is a category R weapon? Surely a bright torch could not be construed otherwise as being a torch.

Catagory R weapon. I didn't realise it was a fully automatic rifle

Flappist, it is not an isolated incident. It happens in Sydney every night and as recently as two weeks ago one whole approach to rwy 07 had to be shut down thanks to a bunch of bogans and wannabe terrorists out in the western suburbs who coordinated a cluster laser attack. A virgin 737 executed a missed approach and 7 other inbound AC were diverted to a crosswind landing. It happens alot on approach to tullamarine too. I think it's probably all the flight sim geeks who want props as being the best. .
