Default Jeremy Clarkson's Greatest Flops

Some funny stuff here

In typical Clarkson style, summing up the BMW 120D Sport .....

"I have been accused, in recent years, of having it in for BMW, and that’s why I’m choosing the words for my conclusion with even more care than usual. So here goes. The 1-series is crap"

My favourite Clarkson line is "America - 500 million w@#kers living in a country with no word for w@#ker".

If Clarkson wasn't a Top Gear presenter he'd be a stand up comedian. He is that funny.

"The G-Wiz. I have often mocked this little car for being slow, ugly, unsafe and hypocritical. But I have never driven one . . . until now"

"The price of having a car that feels like German granite is that on the motorway it sounds like a German prison guard. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Off the motorway it feels French again. There’s a looseness to the controls that you just won’t find in, say, a VW Polo or even a Ford Fiesta. The gearbox feels more baggy than a sack of bubble wrap and the steering’s all wobbly. It’s weird, gazing out over a Teutonic view and then finding the undersides are not hard at all. It’s like one of those liqueur chocolates. You gird your jaw to tackle the outer shell and then find the soft centre has dribbled all down your shirt"

haha

killer

Cheerz,

That one goes well with:

The fact of the matter is this. The 135 coupé is the best car BMW makes. I have no hesitation at all, then, in giving this car the rare accolade of five stars
I'm never sure if he's just trying to be funny at the sake of decent reporting, or actually a good reporter.

I love Top Gear, and I think Jeremy Clarkson is a classic. I love his humor. But I think many others don't get his humor. Other fans of the show will base their opinions on a car on his review, and take it seriously. If he says its crap, they will say it's crap too.... I often read "Jeremy Clarkson said (this or that), so therefore my opinion is (this)..." He's always bagged the American muscle cars and said they were just not up to the Euro stuff, and he is right when it comes to refinement. But which cars put the biggest smiles on his face? The Monaro and Commodore, the Ford GT which he owns. Just gotta read between the lines with him. Critics of the show also take it seriously, but get offended or think it's too juvenile. They complain that it's not politically correct. (And I think that makes him want to be even less politically correct). You just can't take the show too seriously, cos i don't think he takes it seriously.

Clarkson on the Perodua Kelisa 1.0 GXi

"This is without doubt the worst car, not just in its category but in the world"

"It has a top speed of 88mph but takes so long to reach it that no one has ever lived long enough to verify the claim"

"Also its name sounds like a disease."

More Clarkson "reviews" here....

chevypower, Jeremy got rid of the Ford GT. He had nothing but trouble with the security system, and he once said that he never completed one full journey in it! He replaced it with a Gallardo convertible.

So what you are asking is if you have an automatic licence even if it is upgraded to manual automatically can it be upgraded manually by sitting for a manual test and if passed the automatic licence is automatically upgraded but if failed is the automaic licence automatically failed as well and do you have to read the road safety manual to sit for the manual upgrade or does the automatic licence test of the road safety manual automatically cover the manual test as well?

Couldn't blame him for that, i did wonder why he didn't drive a Ferrari or something. Was he serious about not doing one full journey, or was he exaggerating a little?

Thought he would have got himself a Range Rover too, he loves them! I can understand why as well :

He was probably exaggerating but he did have a lot of trouble. Several times while driving his GT, he'd get a phonecall saying that it had been stolen. Other times the immobiliser prevented him from starting his own car! Supposedly the security system was installed in the UK and that's why he had so much trouble with it
