Default Chev Badges..Are they on special at Crazy Clarkes ??

Has anyone noticed all the late model Commodore sedans and utes with Chev badges on them ??? Are they on special at K-Mart, Target or Crazy Clarks this month ?????? Don't they like their little lion badges or are they ashamed of them :voldar02: :voldar02:

I heartily support Chev Badges on Commodores that have the Chev (LSx) motor. Just remember two things. That this has been going on for FORTY years, ever since Holden started using the Chev V8 in 1967.
Oh and the other thing is the VL fully sick cuz boys should be putting Nissan badges on their two decade old heaps of junk.

The third thing is apparently the swear filter now includes the word s-i-k.

I recently saw a SV6 with Chev badges on it. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing, it being called an SV6, its bound to have a 6 Cylinder in it???

But recently driving along, infact it was last Sunday. There was a VU Ute cruising slowly in front of us, and we couldnt work out the badge on the back that replaced the Holden logo.. pull up at the corner, low and behold... it a Corvette badge. What?

Chev's also have 6's in their lineup, I think it might even be the same one in the holdens.
As far as the badges go, if it is powered by chev, whats wrong with a chev badge?

Don't know but i haven't seen any Kenworth's that have been de-badged in favor of a Caterpillar Badge.

"a 1927 Chev, with 'Body by Holden' badges on it."

Yes mate, I think Holden Body builders assembled the Chev car's once they arrived in Australia, So it was effectively a Chev, with a Body built by Holden

Guy at work has a holden VZ ute. He's got a Chev badge on it. But he's not a 19 year old. He's in his 50's. I think he has the badge because of the Chev Engine in the ute. I told him cool idea. Might stick a Volvo Badge on the Mondeo cause it's got a Volvo engine in it :

I'm a Ford fan and I don't think they're stupid on the 8's.

I think it's a lot more aesthetically pleasing on the grill than the lion. Suits the front end a lot better, IMO. I'd suggest that singular reason is why you see the bow tie and not the lion on the grille.

Not white by any chance?

I support them on LS equipped cars nothing more nothing less, although it might stop GM going broke :

The amusing thing is the are not Chevrolet motors. They haven't been called Chev's for a while.
They come from the GM Powertrain division.

I'm not fan but they look better than the massive Holden badge on the grill.

Well yes and no. Here's an even older story of Chev/Holden
My grandmother tells the story of the car her dad owned when she was little
a 1927 Chev, with 'Body by Holden' badges on it. (and yes, Holden motor body builders did exist a long time before General Motors-Holdens of 1948).
So is that more a Chev than an LS1 powered Commodore?
Hey Hey Hey?
And for these reasons, i don't find it stupid at all. As a matter of fact, if i owned a chev powered commodore, i would put chev badges on it.

Are you sure it didn't actually have a Briggs & Stratton Engine in it? Some late model Victa's do.
