Default TDCi 15k service

Hi all, my 08 tdci is up for the 15k service.. well its actually only really done 12k but I want to get it serviced earlier and plus the one year since the 3k service is almost up anyway..

Just wondering whether I should take it to my dealer or go else where like ultratune.. Im after others recommendations, especially when servicing a TDCi..

Ive looked at the comparisons between dealer and ultra tune in a pdf they have on their website and it lists the Focus CL as actually more expensive then going to dealer.

Im in Melbourne, so if anyone knows a good reputable car service company in this city please let me know..

thanks
Loris

when i rang ultra tune to service my tdci they said they wouldnt do it because the car was too new and didnt know what to do lol.

i also rang them a few weeks back to get a qoute on my wifes 02 mazda 6 for its 120k service.....get ready for it.....mazda qouted me $540 dollars for the service.....and ultra tune......$579 dollars! what a rip!!! mazda was cheaper!!

make sure you ring around before you get it serviced. ive only taken mine to coffee ford...not a bad price, but quality and customer service there = fail. never going back there.

My TDCi only gets serviced at my Ford dealer. Not due to fear of anyone else, or the cost (lets face it, $239 for a standard server, which is all except for the 60k's services is a little expensive) but the customer service to top notch. As I work from home the day my car gets serviced, the guys will actually drop me off home and pick me up at no charge....

I suppose the fact I am there every 3-4 months helps...lol

Shop around the dealers, and double check the warranty I don't think ford are as about the service stamping at a dealer than toyota are!!!

Personally I'd stick with Ford, chances are if you take it somewhere else they won't know what to do with it.

No way, regular services should be around $280 and that is still too expensive.

That is unless it's gone up due to the "Financial crisis"..

Good point, many garages won't have had exposure to modern turbodiesel cars yet

My 15000 KM service was $285, and just had my 30000 done at a different dealer $235. Identical oil and parts ie filter etc.

Yeah, paid $290 for 15K service and got a free 30K due to major incompetence at 15K service. They have changed hands and seem to know what their on about. Nice for a change.
Still seems too much for an 1 1/4 hour service....
