Default Different spoiler colour: legal?

Hey guys,
I got a BA and although it might seem a bit weird im looking at getting a different colour spoiler to what the car paint scheme is. My question is, is it legal to have a different colour spoiler to the car colour?

Cheers.

I wouldn't think so.... I'm 99% sure you can drive around with it in undercoat if you so like. You can get a roadie with panels still in undercoat so I don't see how a different colour spoiler could really be any different....

Nope, you can have every panel a different colour if you choose to.

In QLD it is required for cars at time of an inspection for RWC to be of a constant tone of colour. However I have never heard of any one being booked because of an oddball coloured panel, nor would any decent copper worth half his salt book someone with a car they could not afford to touch up. It is a grey area a bit like if the inspecting mechanic checks a car & finds the spare is bald then he can not pass the car but if the spare is missing then he can pass it.

It would be no different to the bi-wing that was on AU XR6/8's? The bottom was body color and the top was black.

Epic fail.

Paint colour is not mentioned in any way, shape or form in the RWC inspection guidelines. The only requirements is that there are no reflective surfaces in view of the driver.

Signed, a RWC Inspector. (NOT Unr8d)

Yeah thats my understanding too. What BS, all sorts of cars with business graphics are all manner of different colours, hell even cop cars have all sorts of wild livery these days.

Well I definitely needed a flame suite for this one, I had retired from RWC work in about 2001 & at the time they were RWCs not safety certificates & you did not have to put the rwc in the windows at the time of sale either or such things as mobile rwc units or RWC current for two months. My point being is that they have changed from what they were to what they are now. I have read the code of practice for now & it is different to what it used to be. Sorry for getting it wrong.
