A couple of full stops here and there, and maybe a comma or two, would make your post alot easier to understand.

Well I can tell you one thing, not a starting price of $9100.00 as you have listed!

While I truly beleive a car is worth what someone will pay, I really do think $9,100 is a little out of the ball park. It is a very sad truth that with project cars you will very rarely get back what you have put into them - at this price range you are firmly into RS2000 money, vans just do not have that kind of following unfortunately.

At its current stage of works with a 1.3 kent motor I would have to say somewhere between $3,000 to $4,000 - but you will need to wait the right buyer.

Don't get me wrong, I honestly wish you all luck and truly do hope you are successful - at the end of the day any value suggested is subjective and as I said the car is worth what someone will pay for it.

Cheers

James

Hi Tracey, good luck with the sale. Like everyone said, sadly escorts arnt worth a great deal. I had a lot of trouble getting rid of mine & it was the apparently desireable mk1 2 dooor (it ended up sold to a wrecker).

One thing I found on ebay is there are some shonky people out there, just be carefull of people that offer you more than what you ask for it & live on oil rigs & want to only pay via Pay Pal. I had 2 seperate people that lived on oil rigs & wanted to buy an unfinished progect escort, sight unseen for thier mum. Nothing suss!!!

Keep it Tracey! You will regret it and as you said earlier, you never get back what you put in, and that is more so true when taking into account the blood, sweat and tears.

I think I know that guy. I think I bought a van off him

As someone has stated, van just dont have the following that they had in the 70's. I spend a shed load on mine and came very close to wrecking it recently, but a chance convo with a workmate put me onto an awesome panel beater who going to restore it.

I've owned 9 escort panel vans over the years and can vouch for the fact that they are very rare in this sort of condition. Having said that, I've only ever seen them change hands for less than $5000.

Anyway, good luck with the sale.
