Sarcasm is “a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter jibe or taunt.” [1] Some authorities sharply distinguish sarcasm from irony,[2] however others argue that sarcasm may or often does involve irony.[3]

Looks pretty identical to the last HDT Brock Commodore, oddly enough released on October 9, 2009 at Bathurst And funnily enough it looks like the HDT Brock Commodore released before that in March 2009...

March 2009

October 2009

October 2010

Not a bad effort, looks pretty retro if you want something quite different. Though they look suspiciously similar to some guys concept cars he posted on another forum in 2006:

This is a ridiculous post in the feedback from that story twice the power what an idiot

Great, just what the planet needs, another gas-guzzling supercar to take the kids to school in.
Holden could have got double the power output with an efficient hybrid engine, at two thirds of the cost.
When will they learn?

sounds like FPV

But seriously the HDT livery and body kit does not suit the VE shape.
Ugly.

Not a look that attracts me, too fat and square. Almost cave man like? Plenty of power though.

A comment on the article

As one involved in the introduction of the original in 1980
...I am appalled.
what was the HDT itself died in 1987 (Holden dealers actually stopped support in 1985) and today we have someone ripping off the original.
Just sticking similar big wheels copycat red paint and the worlds ugliest dummy bonnet scoop on a car does not legitimise this in any way. Knowing PGB, he would be squirming and very embarassed (if he was still with us)
such a ripoff!
Les | Moorabbin - October 08, 2010, 2:16PM
Pretty scathing take on the entire HDT thing.

We build these at work. Quite cheap and nasty. Dont know how they are valued at 70k more than a SS.

HSV already did that.... the 'W427'

Besides the 'Walkinshaw' was the first HSV, not a HDT Brock.

Just a bit off topic, but are Corsa Special Vehicles still arund?
They built some nice Commodores, good power outputs too.

These HDT's are ok.

"This guy" is Peter Champion. He just about bleeds all things Brock and is truly passionate about his product and the Brock world (incl HDT) he has amassed.

I recall him telling me it costs him $100k for each wheel type to be created - he has made one for each of the original Brocks in ~19' for the VE Retros.

He's made a VC, VH & VK retro (as shown above) and is yet to make a buck on them - much as the Brock/HDT faithful want the product, not enough actually reach into their product which is a bit of a shame. Some however now own one of each.

Good luck to him - a thoroughly decent and generous bloke in my opinion.

No doubt - but poor timing with the GFC have stifled the growth he had anticipated. Brock museum in limbo too unfortunately.
