Does anybody have any good contacts for transporting an engine from QLD to WA?
I tried TNT after they initially wouldnt deal with me because I'm not a business they then quoted me $1950.00. Its a 2.8L diesel Patrol engine if that makes a difference, just hoping that someone on here might know of someone that wants to do a cash job back to WA. Any help would be much appreciated. Ad |

I'm still waiting on exact dimensions. The seller has instructed it can be strapped to a pallet and delivered to a depot but I dont have much more than that. I'm asuming that it would be 100-200kg? just a small 6cl Diesel engine.

Where in qld 2 where in wa will effect your price. Depot drop off and pick ups will save you money.Try Toll Express, WA freightlines, perth freightlines these carriers will probably give u a better price.

If who you work for or mates work use any transport companies ask them if you can put the freight on there account and pay them. Most account customers will have a better $ rate for there freight than a one off

TNT's price of $1900 was drop off to depot and pickup from depot and using my work account aswell. Thanks for your suggestions I will try a few of them. Hoping to find someone that may have a bit of room for a cash job, but I think that might be a bt unlikely...

If its any help I race bikes and a couple of guys I race with go over East (with bikes) quite often to race. In the past I managed to get a bike engine (I know it would be smaller than what you have in mind) I purchased over the net brought back for nothing, as it fitted in the crate their bike was in. Its out of season for drags but maybe you could contact MCRC (motorcycle racing club) or WASCC (WA sporting car club) you never know, if you can get the engine to a track someone might bring it back for you cheap. Worked for me.

this one is an easy one. Northline , without a doubt.
we ship engines from melbourne to perth for only a few hundred dollars. try northline direct or national freight managment in melbourne. either way im sure you can pay by credit card. National freight managment are a freight brokers and get some great deals. |
