I used to build engines and crew for Steve Brady back in the 80's . Still try and get to few meetings every summer at Parrammatta .

In the 70's raced Modified Production, then a Scruiteneer until 88 when I made a career shift. Still go when a day off matches a Speedway meeting. Like the Sprinters, Super Sedans and Mod Productions mostly and .... good solo events.

Went all the time as a kid. Raced in the 70s and 90s.
Only attend occasionally now - health related reason, would still like to go regularly.

was a lot of fun .

when i lived at the sunny coast i would go to watch the Yandina speedway every chance i got.

have only been to the gladstone speedway once in the 6 years i have been in cq. mostly working, or i dont know its on, or its mostly held the same night as the benaraby drags.

I always loved Stock Cars! Those Kiwi ones are great! My ex brother in law used race them "figure 8" here in Oz, AWESOME and crazy!

I don't go as often as I would like but I love it, the scramble the closeness of the raceing.

Loads better than that crap they call raceing I'm watching on channel seven now as that's being being passed off as racing

Have been going to speedway since Rowley Park 1973/74 season when I was less than a year old.

My father was a photographer there in the last several years of it's existance
Love the super sedans, always loved tin tops since rowley park times

Know many of the drivers nationwide, follow the circus sometimes from track to track like the National super sedan series, state titles

been to mildura dozens of times, rosedale, avalon, Brisbane, gunnedah, gilgandra, gympie, hamilton, horsham, warrnambool, portland, mt gambier and of course murray bridge and speedway city

I used to watch the drags at AIR and speedway at Speedway Park from the roof of my house using binoculars.
Live about two minutes drive from AIR

yes and no

when the races go for twice as many laps as they should because of the yellow flag rule, they can get just a little boring - overall though, the sprinters are awesome. the rest can be pretty cool, but the sprinters are in another world

comparing speedway to touring cars is like comparing sex pistols with mozart - they are both great but generally cater to a different audience. those who appreciate both are the lucky ones
