Default Thai Built Focus - Transmission?

Hey guys just a quick question. I have a Thai built Focus Sport around 2 months old now.

I still really can't get used to the transmission. At low speed in car parks the car feels as though it's about to stall and lurches along. At traffic lights with foot on the brakes and then releasing it sometimes creeps forward, mostly lurches. A rumbling feeling. Very annoying!

Is this normal behaviour for these newer dual clutch systems?

Hey Concrete,

Yes, it is very typical of the DCT.

My car currently has 14k on it and it definitely improves with the amount of k's you add. When I first got the car, it was a lot more jerky at low speeds and sometimes would clunk. As we added the k's and broke in it got a lot more smoother.

Just give it sometime to break in would be my recommendation.

No problems thanks for that

Is it something you raised with your dealer when you got the initial service?

yeah I raised the issue as I also had the grinding noise issue.
They advised it was fine, and I had the lastest transmission software update.
