Default Silly 'fault' on a GT

I just drove my BA GT for one of the last times before I put it up for sale - down to the auto shop to buy cleaning products for its (hopefully) final wash, clay bar and polish.

On the way there it started beeping from behind the dash. Every now and then, on deceleration. It didn't do it at speed at all.

"Great," I thought. "Years of absolute trouble-free motoring and I get a gremlin now."

I was imaging the worst... Some sort of ECU warning? An intermittent fault that would cost lots to fix? Some sort of bizarre prediction that my engine was about to blow up?

I pulled into the driveway, expecting the worst. I went right over the car: fluid levels, fuses... It was a real head-scratcher. Then I spotted it. The boot was open, the huge GT spoiler holding it down. I closed it. Back to trouble free motoring.

I'm going to miss this car so much.

Yep, don't sell it if you're already thinking you are going to miss it.

If its about money, may as well let it mature...GT prices should go up in a few years

I've had this a couple of times in my XR6! It would be nice if the little light that flashes to show the boot is open stayed on for longer so it was easier to identify- as it is, it flashes so briefly that by the time my eyes can get to the dash it's gone! Both times took several minutes to figure out what was wrong.

That's the question! I don't know how much to ask! $23k? It's a peach, 81,000 k's, a rare colour, auto, Difilipo headers, CAI... What do you reckon? Remember, cars cost more in WA...
