If you ordered parts and paid by credit card you may be lucky and use the charge back option if the purchase falls within a certain time frame.

Hope that isn't true, Bryan Byrt is the nearest Ford dealership to my area and there's no other Ford dealers near. Sounds a bit hard for Ford to be competitive as an importer if you have to travel such a long way to find someone who sells them.

What do we know? That 3yr warranty, poor customer service and after sales support doesn't cut it with the buying public if you want to survive. When do you think they will get it?

I'm not surprised.
I took my 2013 F6 Ute back to bryan byrt ford for a warranty claim and after being dicked around for a month. The warranty claim was refused. Naturally, I'm not happy about the decision, considering I spent $70K at their dealership. I also know quite a few customers who had their cars serviced there were not happy. Will be sad if they go. Bryan Byrt Ford is a bit of Ford and Bathurst history with their race falcons. Those cars always had great paint jobs. I always thought the 1973 XA hardtop was a great looker.

Bryan Byrt VW is under external administration too. Interesting times ahead for 2 of the longest lasting Ford dealerships in QLD. Denmac is also affected.
I hope all of the employees keep their jobs under new owners.

That is a silly post. FGX won't solve the problems that these dealerships face.

Bad news if true.
I always found Bryan Byrt service to be excellent. They diversified into Cherry and other brands as Falcon sales slipped, but that mustn't have been enough to bridge the lost revenue. I also found the Torque Strathpine salesmen easy to deal with, and were can-do in their attitude. Understandably the North Lakes showroom is the better of the two premises; hopefully they can integrate into there. |

Ad in today's Courier Mail 07/11 for expression of interest in Bryan Byrt Ford. 7 Locations annual turnover $275m approx. closes Nov 21.

This is FACT... A sign that our economic climate is still not great. In reality Ford and Holden have too many dealers for the volume of sales. Dealerships run on a very tight profit margin so you have to run a tight ship to survive in this cut throat industry.
Even so, its sad to see the end of 2 Brisbane icons of the motor industry. |
