I'm sure it wasn't his fault. He probably had to dodge some Grandpa in a Ferrari pottering along at 250kph in the overtaking lane.

I only have one question looking at some of these pictures how the **** did the driver and passenger survive? Do they only have half their body left?

I imagine what we see there is the result on an ensuing fire rather than the initial accident.

I know it's not in Aus but lets not make a habit of posting video's of people breaking laws please. Plenty of them on YouTube but it's not something promoted here due to being a family forum.

i think the video is worth considering.
they got that gt up to 300 in NT and I am sure my fg ute would hit 300 if i tried, so lets not forget how quickly things can go bad at those speeds even for the bestest cars in the world let a lone our cars (and our roads are no where near that good) |

It looks like the road undulated, not being an Autobahn, which made the vehicle unstable.......

Some Autobahns are not what you expect. Have travelled on some, and as in the video, some of the two lane roads can be ordinary. You could hear in the video many different road surfaces. Probably okay at 200. Driver error.
Oh, and a yes to the tyres, probably not rated for extended times above 300kmh. Basic stuff.

Was the, they survived statement added to make the posting of the video and pics more palatable? I wouldn’t say they didn’t as I don’t know but when you see the structural and fire damage and know the speed they were travelling at you’ve got to question how is it possible? What makes it even more odd, it's a appears to be a video released by the Hungarian Police.

I bet every driver he overtook would be thinking "this is going to end badly", luckily he only took himself out without injury to others.

If the Armco has flexed the way it’s designed too so as to help dissipate the speed before the vehicle punched its way through, they may have made it. Still they did punch through and they’re dragged a fair bit with them which is not meant to happen. And you also don’t know what has been done to the wreckage to remove the occupants. It’s miraculous if they did survive, losing it at 335kpm on a public road and walking away is definitely a story for the grandkids.
