Haha I remember those wire wheel caps, they were popular for a short time, and K Mart used to sell them…
Here is a photo of the Bull Bar on my XB Ute Project car, an old V8 bush ute I found in a paddock in North West NSW, near Moree, NSW. How I found it: And rescued back in my shed PS why did it take three people to fit?? One to fit bull bar and two to drink beer and shout encouragement??

yes true you had to have lots of alcohol on hand in case you cut your self No RBT in those days XB GS 351 Coupe they had a huge blitz here in Broken Hill last year just before christmas and they were pulling up all the people with old style bull bars the guys from Sydney traffic unit went all over Broken Hill well there was so many complaints to from locals that they were forced to cancel the blitz and all ticket s handed out were cancelled any one who has driven out this way know there is a huge EMU wild goat and roo problem they need to work out some thing that alows these old style bars to be allowed in time they will end up with all new ones so why push people who have no money to fix up there cars with new style bull bars

That bull bar issue has been rectified, and regulations only apply to newer cars now, as it was not realistic and someone jumped the gun, they did the same out here.
Same with the Tuff Bars, they said they were banned till they provided the engineers certification. http://roadsafety.transport.nsw.gov....tolerances.pdf
