Is JP a car guy, never really seen him in a car, but the house he just sold, which he had built in Vaucluse had a 20 car garage. May have just built it that big simply because he can, or does he have few toys hidden away.
Probably just into boats and jets... Last edited by Stefan; 08-08-2015 at 04:26 PM. Reason: spelling |

I don't believe he is a car guy per se, but most probably would have built the house to accommodate this volume of cars because on resale the house requires it (if you know what I mean)
My friend worked for him (London - Alternate European Investment arm) and I remember asking the question then. |

A Bentley Continental GT
An old article but I don’t think he’s really into cars but what he has isn’t cheap. http://www.executivestyle.com.au/wha...ich-drive-by83 |

His dad Kerry had a twin turbo XJS Jag built by Gary Walker and he also backed Kevin Bartlett pretty heavily in the channel 9 Camaro so I guess he was a car guy.

I doubt it very much.
Sure he may "ride" in a Bently and other vehicles But of all the times I've seen him on the telly he is always in the back seat Not at all like Jay Leno, who has an awesome collection of vehicles, and best of all (for him) chooses to drive himself Yeah Ha (Oh to be stinking rich hey ! !)

Seen him in top of the line Porsches as well but hasn't struck me as a car guy.

15 or 20 years ago, a mate and I were talking to a Ferrari salesman at the Sydney Motor Show.
He was telling us about how easy it was to spot those who had just won lotto as opposed to those who appreciated the cars. One of us mentioned KP but the salesman said that JP had come in only recently to order a new car. Said he was a pleasure to deal with.

Yeah I though the same thing George, big garage only because the big house needs a big garage for real estate sake.
Yeah I think cars are just a tool to get from A to B.....no bugatti veyrone or koenigsegg in the back shed |

I think he had a Cayenne, as did the guy who headed his investment arm in the Sydney office.

May be James is not in cars if you google Kerry Packer you will find he had a bad accident in 1956, but James likes big boats.
