G'day...Glad to see that..The mighty bird deserves no less.. Even if you don't like Falcons , one fact cannot be denied..There are only a tiny handful of cars that see more than half a century of continuous building and is a testament to the skill and determination of the designers , engineers and workers who assembled our Falcons..AND other models of course..Will look forward to these copies of Wheels and Motor and it will be appreciated I'm sure..
I'd better get two copies of each , one to wear out reading and the other to keep pristine for posterity..thanks for the thread to let us know csV8 and bigwil .. awesome..
Cheers Rod..

Both Wheels and Motor magazine will most likely put Holden ads all through it as well.

what do you mean, these days seeing pics of egoistic journos sitting at a cafe sipping on lattes or pulling retarded faces and body poses next to road signs has just as much priority as the photos of the car they're reviewing. Or so they think.
Part of the reason why I haven't purchased a Wheels or Motor mag in over ten years. I'll have to make an effort to buy one of each. Most likely will be their best selling issue in years. Long live the Falcon and the I6!

What's the logic here? Wheels did their level best to kill Falcon sales for years, and now that they've succeeded, you guys want to reward them by buying their magazine?

We wouldn't be farewelling the Falcon at all if there'd been more support from organisations like Wheels for the locally manufactured Fords.

he's not dead wrong, sure print media can't close a plant but they sure didn't over countless years write/report much good to encourage general public Australians that even though the imports had more ranges choices etcetc that to try and support the locals, not just olden but FORD Aus, its made a good general product for Australia and Australians despite its negatives they could have trumpeted the many positives but focussed on the negatives.
They are just another small piece contributing to the puzzle.

Why would Wheels do a farewell special? They hated Falcon. Anyone who can do a search in the pub section here will come up with a mountain of threads on wheels slagging Falcon.

Every car has niggles! I don't see Hyundai plasterd all over saying how harsh the suspension is and the fact it lifts wheels if going diagonally off a driveway (like my sisters i20 I'm driving in Sydney at the moment.) Imports can do no wrong.

Just finished reading Motor, not bad but a car as legendary as the Falcon I think a whole magazine or even a separate book is what it deserves

I just don't want to see any Toyota Camries, Hyundai's or Kia's in that issue of the magazine. Or I will painstakingly remove each and every photo or article about these toy cars in my copy of the Magazine.

Proof? They didn't hate it, they just didn't review it with the rose colored glasses that some members here expect them to. Sure, some items were subjective but overall Falcon got a pretty good review each time considering what it was.
It won COTY (as did Territory, first SUV to do so) and they took a XR overseas. Then they had 50th anniversary for the Falcon too.

There are magazine dedicated to Falcon, I think that's more what you're after.

There was another plan in progress that our Button Plan was just only following in that directive and it's called the New World Order, it's just a Fabian plan of a Marxist Utopia.
666.
NWO a great plan in it's self overall, but there are some details that they wish to keep secret to the majority and that's the problem, if the people only knew the facts, well they could be seen for the monsters they truly are.
Well the NWO could come out and explain in detail what they are doing and why every step of the way, but history proves that criminal organisations never do that.

I know that they will get there NWO, but it will fail because it's corrupt and as we all know power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Wow, I'm not quite sure if you're serious. The Hyundai lifts it's wheels if going diagonally off a driveway? To be honest I'm surprised, cause all that points to is a rigid chassis. And as we all know, the more rigidity the better.

I'm looking forward to the Wheels special, it'll be a good read. They've been there from the very first Falcon and have a lot of material to draw upon. But certainly do agree that the magazine isn't half as good as it used to be. Difficult to imagine it getting any better now their only reason to exist - the aussie car industry, is all over.

Finally brought it but chose to get only one, was expecting something more along the lines of a write up from XK through to FGX not just focus on the performance models.
It would be great if one of the mags did a reprint of articles of each model release review within a edition ?
