Thumbs up Ford Sells 2,184 Territory's for december

Well how is that for a new model, Ford sells 2,184 Tezza's for a 37.7% market share in december, and for 2004 13,583 were sold giving Ford a 22.6% Share of that market for only 6 months. The figures are as follows:

DECEMBER FULL YEAR 2004

sales share sales share
Ford Territory 2184 37.7% 13583 22.6%
Toyota Prado 1447 25.0% 16758 27.9%
Toyota Kluger 596 10.3% 7655 12.7%
Mitsubishi Pajero 487 8.4% 6984 11.6%
Holden Adventra 147 2.5% 2500 4.2%
Jeep Cherokee 132 2.3% 2199 3.7%
Hyundai Terracan 190 3.3% 1785 3.0%

Ford really have hit the nail on the head with these remarkable sales results and I cannot wait to see how many we sell in January. Its no wonder with sales results like these that BA MKII is a little slow in the uptake.

those figures did not come out how I thought they would, the smaller figures on the left are for december only, the larger figures are for the full year 2004. sorry about that.

The territory is a very nice looking "car". I wouldn't mind a black one with some xr lights and a turbo or 8 under the bonnet. Should be some nice competition for the forester xt then. Should really make a killing then.

Well if the rumour mill is working correctly then you will probably see a turbo version of the territory in the not too distant future.....

Excellent news, although some of what you said sounds very much like ford marketing speak.

Exellent job, the Territory has proven it's rank in the Australian automotive segment, now please Ford, give me a Boss powered Territory, and you will have one more sale of this fantastic model tomorrow.

I think a diesel version of the Terry, say with Jag's V6 diesel would be great as well as the Turbo 6.

Well guys I have not heard anything about a diesel but Ford certainly has the resources to build a turbo diesel model. I have been asked many times if they are doing a diesel. Sooner or later Ford is going to have to do something about it and then finally we will have a AWD diesel to take it up Toyota....Can't wait.
