Car looks VERY nice as it is.... maybe see if you can get a set of XR6 springs from someone who has lowered their XR6. Would drop it a bit and they shouldnt cost more than $200 for the lot. The other $150 can go towards spring compressors and a gregorys manual..

My go, would be to spend ~$150 on it... And save the rest, or spend it on yourself

AUII/III Clear Tail lights, Clear Side Indicators... That should be about $100-150. It's those little things that can make it look good.

Otherwise save it.

A touch of patience and the $$ grow till you can do the worthwhile things..

Gregorys manual is the "how to fix it" manual for the car. Worth it if you are going to do the work yourself.

You can go and get superlows (or lows) for about $260 or so new. However they are a firmer sping and you migh find you will be up for new shock absorbers VERY soon. If you get superlows you will also need a camber kit... kiss your budget goodbye.

By getting factory XR6 springs you should be able to run the same shocks without fuss, have no camber issues and not have to tell the insurance company as they are "factory ford" springs.

If you have it spare, go out & buy new oil, leads etc & keep em in the shed for when you need it. They always seem to breakdown when you are short in the pocket.
With whats left over, go buy a Ford Shirt or the likes .
Take the G/F out

It already looks nice but if the urge to spend is there then lower it - otherwise just put the money away. You said yourself you don't have much money so bank it. You might need it for a rainy day.

You could save it, but you're young.. Springs, compressors and a workshop manual is a great idea if you want to learn yourself - it's very rewarding. Otherwise some simple things like clear side repeaters, oil change, and some cleaning products?

On the au an exhaust helps heaps!! Isaw a standard AU with extractors and exhaust pull 127 rwkws at a recent dyno day...gotta be happy with that!!

Save and save thats about it. But you dont want to save and I agree with you.You could get it lowered and put the other ~$150 into a Tickford air snorkal and perfomance filter. Though the gregorary's manuals are great.
