Those Kiwis played well and were fired up for it. Good series all round.
PS: for those of NZ heritage, League is much, much bigger than union in Oz and isn't a waste of time for many people. Makes your win even bigger imo. The Wallabies on the other hand represent a very small proportion of suburbs in Sydney and Brisbane and the fact the All Blacks can beat them isn't really an achievement considering union is your religion. |

Had to happen sooner or later the c***y Aussies got done in a final in the league.
I didn;t see any of the match but I heard on the radio Sat that it would have been freeezing as, about suit the Kiwis. I find it a bit ironic and funny that finally in League and Union we are getting a whipping (Union especially) and Football is off to the World Cup.

And we got the Grand Slam in Union, and the 2011 World cup.
The Gods of Rugby have been good to New Zealand recently.

OH NO the world will come to an end Australia got beaten at a sport, holy crap Batman
Sack all the officials, sack all the players and publicly whip their Mums and Dads cos it surely is their fault for buying them donuts as a kid. 0% is the care factor. For Gods sake what difference does it make that they got beaten, theres another game next week, month, year, decade, all of the above. Just goes to show they arent as perfect as the fans think.

Worse for the league team... The union team were never as dominant as the league team. When our union side had the bledisloe, tri-nations and world cup, they struggled for every game during that period and while we always hoped for a win, it was never a certainty.
The league team was always dominant though, mainly due to it being aussie based and most other countries preferring union. Our league sides were so good at one stage our middle of the road club side could beat any other country's national side. But those days are gone. Years ago, NZ used to put up a good fight but never had the legs for 80min. The more NZ players played in our local comp, the better their national side did. Our union side may have come away with a bad win/loss record but we were never shamed... our league guys were shamed. NZ wanted the win and took it. The aussie boys played the entire tri nations as if they thought it was their birthrite to win. UNLUCKY! |

I actually prefer the kiwis winning over any other competitors if Australia has no chance.
