I remember Victor Chang operated and saved his life after Kerry suffered a heart attack playing polo. Its a real shame he's not still alive either. RIP.

I told my mum when I read this, and she called my grandfather, who said he heard it on the radio, and that it was cancer.

Damn, he'd had it all. Heart problems, Kidney failure, a kidney transplant, and finally cancer.

They said he's had 8 heart attacks over the years - gee he's lucky he's made it this far if that's the case.

MY fave Kerry packer -related- quote

When he clinically died but was revived a few years back, he was asked did he see lights and tunnels, heavenly gates, and all that.
HE replied "mate, I been dead, and i can tell you theres nothing there"
to which BArt Cummings ( i think) said
"Yeh well, if i was St Peter and I saw Packer come rumblng up, i would run and hide too!"

Deleted, not banned. If he trys it again then he can come back around new years day after another holiday from here. It was unacceptable and rude.

It is a sad day, KP will be missed.
KP bought every ambo a Packer Wacker because he had a heart attack on the polo field and was lucky enough to have a ambo with a wacker on board, it was one of only 7 units in the ambo's in thoes days.
He was a very generous man that did not want publicity for his donations.

RIP Kerry, you were a great Australian
