Just found a news story that confirms what I was told ! Damn shame as he was one of the best safari riders in the world . At least he died doing something he loved to do . He will be missed !

Even though I don't fully follow the Dakar, I really was shocked to hear it this morning.

A big shock to those of us long term followers of Dakar and rally raid...
Andy came off his bike at over 150kmh, and apprently died instantly. He is survived by his pregnant wife and three year old daughter. My condolences to his family and friends, I especially feel for his wife. Tim |

Andy epitomised the Aussie spirit, to give it a go. He did give it a go and showed us all what an adventure life can be, if we get off the couch.
RIP Andy, condolences to his wife and family. |
