Remote control gas pwoered cars

Hi every one Just wondering has anyone got a remote control petrol/nitros powered car
I got one for me and the kids and its great fun
just wonder where the best place to buy parts for it and who to speak to
and maybe somewhere to run it
I got to the local factory unit where there is a lot of flat concrete and no cars :eclipsee_

my dad and i both have one. he sourced his through Ford, and i got mine from HobbyPro in St. Mary's (sydneys west) ive found that hobbypro are by far the cheapest place. and the service is really good. they've helped me a fair bit. for mine it was $475 and that included the starter kit. i had to by batteries for the remote/receiver and fuel for the car which is about $10 per litre. running 15 percent nitro. they are great fun. i got a XR8 ute shell in ambrose colours. the old man has a ford v8 supercar shell. flat ground is the best for running them. not slippery smooth though, otherwise they wont stick and you can just do doughies. but yeah. HobbyPro at St. Marys is, in my eyes the best place. on Queen Street a bit past the cop shop. there is another hobby shop across the road. but they are a bit dearer.

i recently sold my monster truck...think it around 80kph...was damn fun...gunna get a car this time

i havent got a car, but i wanna make a boat in a few months..
it'll be about 2 foot long
plan is to power it by a pair of the nitro outboards you can get off ebay....

Yeah they are great fun, i have a traxxas emaax monster truck, a 100kph plus carbon fibre mission race car, tl-o1 drift car and a blazing star offroad buggy, i even have a offroad track in my backyard which is in its second rebuild stage atm, lol will post pics soon,

i figure a boat would be better for me as theres a decent little lake just nearby... and it wouldnt be in anyones way using it there....

and damn they can go fast!

IMO, you get more satisfaction out of them if you build them yourself.....than if you buy one premade...... even buying a kit and assembling it, then getting to use it, makes it fun, but you cant beat scratch building!

Yeah thats right building from a box of bits is great, you know how its built then and its proven over and over again the cars we built last longer than out of the box, but i also upgrade some of the screws and other bits and pieces as to be a lil less serviceable, after every second or third big jump a stocko box car has an axle fly out or a suspension arm fall off and you need to spend hours looking for bits, lol then its a trip to the hobby store, lmao it gets bloody annoying, lol :P

im loctaed in the hurstville aera and i found a good shop in Liverpool
and Caringbah unfortunatly the guys in Caringbah were not helpfull
he did not want to help
ohh well their lose
They are great fun
we located a huge car park near where i live and it scream once it is in second gear
oh yeah my son has fun with it also
