If thats in Queensland it might have been the one that went to an all ford day a few years back. Its a forte with a kit, nothing special.

Then again I dont remember it having those wheels so it might not be the same one. Did it have Prestige plates ?

but anyway, we stopped and looked at it at ... omg...some smallish town after G.I on way back to QLD.

That one was for sale... the guy lived at the little town... Drew/Tori...help, what was the name of that place????????

I worked in a factory next to the guy that did those 2 cars. He was a signwriter and he does all the VIP pet food cars. Bryan Byrt Ford in Capalaba up here in Brisbane donated two AUII XR6's. One a ute and the other a sedan. He did them both in 4 days in 18 hour shifts. It was awseome walking into his factory and seeing those cars.

Volume three, edition one of performance ford mag has a similar AU XR8 in it that not only had the job on the outside done it also sported a 352Kw baby windsor, all the herrod motorsport upgrades and all the stuff you find under a V8 supercar. You'd think it would be a total cop and %#&* head magnet though.

There is one like that ( the one in the Performance Ford Magazine) in Alice Springs! Its owned By Danny Orr of Danny Orr Earthmoving and it goes as good as it looks ! He spent mega squillions on it and its pretty much as close as you can legally get to putting a V8 supercar on the street !

Yeah, I got to see danny orr's as well, I was told it went straight out of ford as an xr8, and straight into a performance workshop. I heard there wasn't much change from 200000, and when you look under the bonnet you can see why.
He did bring it out onto the 1/8 mile track when it was a couple of weeks old, but refused to drag or do a burnout much to the displeasure of the crowd...... Don't blame him, wouldn't want to blow it straight away either

There is a program running in Melb (and perhaps in other places) where kids who have ongoing treatment for whatever their ailment is get driven into the Royal Children Hospital in mock up race cars and other hotties.

Could this car be a part of such a program?

A guy around the corner from where I live has a HSV with a whole lot of livery on it. I thought he was a tool till I read about the program and put 2 and 2 together.

It was in Tenterfield - remember we were going to move there cause it was so pretty - the town not the car!

The man that owns it actually owns or runs the Nissan dealership in Tenterfield, his son has a really hot ute with an incredible paint job on it as well and was also at the Ford V's Holden show.... His son asked me if I was married and I went all coy - remember that!

Nice car - I have some photos of the GT posing beside it and Drew took a few as well. If I remember correctly its all paint work and not really a go fast kinda car.
