It's been around $1.40 in Tas for months.

And we can't even get 98 RON fuel !!

Bass Straight may as well be 10,000 ks wide. 'Cause I often feel like I'm living in another country........

Paid $1.19 this morning for 95 RON.

I'm expecting 91 RON to hit $1.34 here next week.

With easter just over a week away, when would the best time be to buy petrol?

Because im going away and am going to have to buy it late next week :

Petrol only costs about $.63 cent per litre, its all the taxes and tarifs that boost up the price :

I'm sick of filling up at 1.35-1.40 a litre on 95. I now put 30 odd bucks in so if I see a bargain I can fill up cheaper.
I have also found a United near work which has the E10 fuels and the Boost 98 octane was 1.28 the other day.
Instead of driving something smaller, I'm just moving closer to work.

in an oz gallon (8 imp pints) there are 4.54 litres

a US gallon has 6 imp pints which is around 3.75 litres

edit: to elaborate (if anyone cares) a US gallon has 8 US pints which is the equivalent of 6 imp pints.

Goes up to about $1.28 every thursday/wed evening in Adelaide... so 98 goes to about $1.38. Then comes down to $1.19 over the course of the week... then back to $1.28...

Meh I've given up caring how much petrol is worth. I just fill up. I work next door to a service station and couldn't tell you what the price has been like for weeks. My next car will probably use double what I use now and will need premium.

Howard gets nearly 50% of fuel costs in taxes, etc. Howard could easily reduce petrol taxes etc but greedy #$% won't.

I've noticed that around Adelaide, it's been hitting a low of $1.18ish on Tuesdays, jump up to nearly $1.30 on Wednesday morning then gradually creep back down to the tuesday low.
I fill up every Tuesday. Probably save about 3 or 4 dollars a week. Doesn't really seem worth the bother.

My missus (God bless her heart) Got a pay rise last week of a BP Fuel Card. Now that's worth having. Can use it for my car as well. First time a payrise meant something.

Where I am in Syd, price goes up between 18-20 cents EVERY Wed night. That lasts about a day and then comes back down. Beats me why they do that for 1 day!
