These are recent spy pics from GM compound in China AFIK, so would be a new model due out next year for someone, hence what car is it.

I think its VW, but what about OPEL ?

I was going to say Merc .... by the headlights ... but then some of the Korean cars are starting to look like the older Mercs though.

Might be a Daewoo or Kia.

Could be an Opel model still undergoing testing. Initially thought some new VW due to the bif circular badge on grill.

Im thinking some form of asian luxury car...

Alot of the asian cars are starting to look like old mercs, that definatly has the shape of a merc from the front, just doesn't look right from the back whatever it is.

Hehehe. I reckon a VeeWee too. But either way it makes you stop and think how similar so many cars look these days. Take away the badges and garnishes and their a dime a dozen. That's why I love E Series 'Lanes. There's nothing quite like 'em!

The original image for the Passat can be found here

The front looks Euro, but the bums lines are quite Asian (read: bad)

The wheels look very Toyota. Perhaps it is the replacement to the LS430.
The LS series never had a nice .

Judging by those lines in the rear end, which appear wishy washy, I'd say the car is Korean. As to what Korean car has a circular badge, I'm drawing a blank. I'm leaning towards Ssangyong tho, like a next gen Chairman. To confuse matters more, that styling is awfully cohesive for a Ssangyong. Anyone seen a Stavic?
