After some umming and arring, I've finally taken the plunge and ordered a DIN Conversion kit from fordpartsuk.com. I figured that now with my finances slowly freeing up and the sale of my EF Falcon I need to treat myself. As for what I'm going to put into the hole, I'm not entirely sure but I'm leaning towards an Alpine/iPod combo at the moment. So hopefully within the month it will be bye byes to my skipping horror of a stereo.

The dash bezel and DIN convertor arrived today so I'm pretty stoked! Just waiting on a little extra cash from my tax return now...

I'm not that silly :P, I got a mate at Tonkins that'll do the job for me. I don't trust myself with that sort of job.

Now we're moving. I have my new Alpine CDA-9856i with iPod Nano on order along with some Alpine Type S 5x7" Coaxials. When I get some more money down the track I'll also get a pair of splits to completely replace the factory speakers. All thanks to Tonkins in Salisbury. Here's a sneak preview:

That looks hot Leigh!
Wish the stock Fiesta CD player was capable of playing MP3 then I wouldn't have so many CD's lying around!

That's the reason why I've gone for an iPod combo. It means I can take my music with me, just wish I had the beans to get the full 30GB ipod Video combo.
