Webber Awarded Top Environmental Prize
by STAFF REPORTERS "Webber doing his bit for the environment" Zurich: At the annual Global Environmental Awards last night, Mark Webber was awarded the Golden ROSE, the events highest accolade. Given to individuals who "make the highest contribution to the sustainable sustainability of a sustainable environmental world", those at the ceremony gave a standing ovation as Webber struggled to find the podium. Hugh Jackman, delightful in his role as host of the awards, announced that "by not finishing in almost every race he took part in this season, he cut over 95% of harmful green house emissions". Webber who had arrived late to the awards because of car trouble, was visibly shocked to receive the award and paid tribute to his car and crew. "If it wasn't for the 19 second pit stops, and an engine that couldn’t start on cold mornings, I wouldn't be here today". Jackman then praised Webber's efforts at the recent Hungarian Grand Prix, where he completed just two laps. "Yes, they really f##ked things up. There wasn't actually anything wrong with the car, but on precedent my crew only gave me one lap's worth of fuel". When asked about his recent signing with the struggling Red Bull racing, Webber replied "Yeah, I know my career is going backwards, but it's better than stalling". |

Poor Webber, if only he could have a car that actually works.
