Default Just Car Insurance

Hi there i was just wondering who here is insured with Just Car Insurance and if you have made a claim were you happy with the service. My girlfriend has a ford laser insured with them and had an accident and so far it has been over 2 weeks since she maid the claim, they have told the panel beater that he has got the job but told him not to start on the car until they contact him again. Has anybody else had a similar experience.

Call them and ask them what the hold up is.

Im insured with Just Car, and have found them very helpful when I have had to make a claim.

I would call up Just Car and the panelbeater and find out what is going on.

Was your girlfriend at fault? If not, then they have to wait for approval from the other drivers insurer before they can start any work.

I would of thought if it's not an at fault claim, that your insurance company would fix it, then sue the other driver's insurance company. I don't know how insurance works though. Never had an accident and hope I don't. Very interested in what happens as I'm insured with Just Cars.

The panel beater was waiting to hear from them, the insurance company said they were both at fault. Rang them this morning and they have approved it just nobody rang the panel beater back to tell him it was ok to start.

Never rely on people that work in a place like that cos odds are they don't give a ****** about u, gotta keep on their back to organise things or they may never have rung the panel beater, ull get the same thing with just about and insurance co.

Umm,

Quote, assess and approve. That simple.

Why didn't the repairer chase the insurer?
Why didn't your gf call within days?

I have made a claim with just cars and am not happy with the service at all. Within the 1st week they had chosen a repairer and I had faxed back to authorisation documents so it should have been sweet.

I got a call on the monday from them saying its going to get a mechanical inspection and being fixed mechanicaly. During this 1st call the assesor didn't want to talk to me at all. That took 2 *** weeks for some reason and only a left control arm needed to be replaced. I called numerous times to find out what was doing on but no one knew what was happening and I was told the assesor would call me about 5 times but he never did.

After that the car went to the panel beater and it has now been there for 2weeks but parts had to be ordered from europe so work stopped. They say it will be ready friday. But thats not the end of it. I will later have to go in again to get my amp replaced as it was damaged too.

In all will take nearly 6weeks to fix. I have called Just Cars Insurance numerous times but they never knew what was happening and said that the assesor would call me which he NEVER did. I even got his mobile number and called that several times and the **** tried calling me at 10:30pm when I was at work. This has been a very bad experience and I will be making formal complaints about the delays.

My sister on the other hand has made 2 claims and they both went along very well.

If you ever real with Just Cars and have Adam Bowden assigned to your car demand it be given to another person. Adam has no idea and should be fired and shot.

With Just Cars and made a claim this year. Found them to be extremely helpful and the whole process seamless and stress free.

And to join this same chorus,
Has the excess been paid yet?

that is a big hold up usually for younger drivers. You mentioned both parties were at fault.

The excess gets paid to the panel beater when its time to pick up the vehicle.

Without being there and witnessing an incident, it is very difficult to determine who actually caused it. Also in some cases (ie two reversing vehicles), where both people are liable and both pay their excess.

Nothing dumb about it.
