Default Mustang: The Italian Job

I thought this seemed interesting. An Italian perspective, on an American classic :hihi:

The 2005 Ford Mustang, as done by the boys at Italdesign.

Looks freaking awesome outside, but geez, what were they smoking when they decided that furry cowhide seats were a good idea?

Also, I can never understand the point of having a rear seat that nobody, not even small children, could sit in AND have the luxury of having legs.

Why not just make it a 2 seater and make the back into a large hatch type luggage space?

probably. Still doesn't make it ok!

The horse's should be under the bonnet, not inside the cabin!

awsome car, the interior can change, along with stupid rear seats. They should just make it a true 2 seater sports car...esoecially after they would have spent a lot of money
Did this protype get up at all?

Very well done. I wouldn't mind the cowhide actually, you'd want as many interesting features as possible.

That looks alot better than the current POS. It looks back at history, but doesn't rely on it.

American Motors did this with the Javelin. They took 1.5feet out of it's wheelbase, modified it to a two seater and called it an AMX.

Then buyers started complaining that it didn't have a back seat!? Those same people probably walked past almost visually identical the four-seat Javelin in the same showroom. AMC dropped the 2-seat AMX after three years (68-to-70), and re-introduced the name as the "performance" version of the Javelin from 71-to-74.

.. the moral of the story is that people don;t know what they want and aren't satisfied when they'd got it ..

BTW: I'm not too sure about the looks for that 'Stang ..

The exterior looks great, the dash looks great, but the cowhide... :

And that's the Mustang that was spotted a couple of weeks ago. I'm definately a fan, but I love the normal Mustang too.

The cowhide works. I too thought it was strange at first, but this is a one-only prototype and they did a very good job of it too. I think its cool.

a bit embarasing for the yanks when the itailians can make a better 'american classic' that the americans can.

love it. can see a lot of the latest generation corvette in the doors and can see a lot of bmw 6 series in the area encompasing the front wheelarch to the headlight.

beautiful.

I think they are probably actually rear view cameras sending images to the LCD screen in the centre of the dash, same as those featured on Iosis.

That car is pornographic. If that comes out, and the yanks dont mess with it and add vinyl seats and a gun rack, I WANT.

Bring that stuff to Aus, NOW.
