Default What's a Roll-a-door worth?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a Roll-a-door put in at home behind the garage. Just want to know if anyone has had one of those standard corrugated looking doors put in recently and can give me a rough price on what they're worth?

It's about 2.5 metres wide by 2 metres high as a guesstimate.

Anyone know or recommend anyone who does them??

Also concreters and pergola builders if possible :P

We just ordered one at work 3.9m wide, 2.7m high $1200. Not sure what a domestic (manual door) will set you back, but shouldnt be too bad

I'm a drafter for a builder, and average size roller door for a single garage, is 2.1m (high) x 2.4m (wide).

Not sure on costs though sorry. Thats the average size for a panel lift door btw... (which is the common doors you see on garages on new houses).

sunny it shouldnt cost anymore than 500 bucks MAX for a cheap manual roller door... and thats fitted
my folks had one put up on the back of our carport, which would be about 1 and a half car wide, and it was only 350 or so...

If you can get them for under $500 I will but 10!

Sunny $1000 is more realistic.

Based on the last prices I got...

B&D - $574
Gliderol - $586

Both those are zinc doors (RRP), add roughly $100 for colour. I'm not sure what installers would charge you though.

I'd say LTDHO's guess would be close...

B&D are ripoff bastards... When we moved in our garage door wasn't working properly so I called them up... Because I was only around the corner they said they would send a tech out without a call out fee. Tech arrives and checks fault code, "she's knackered mate, not worth fixing"... "Have a motor in the van and can fix it now if you like"... So i say I don't have cash available but will call them in a week or so to fix it. Went to a wedding that weekend and met a B&D licensed installer, got talking to him and he said he'd drop around and have a look before I did anything drastic. He pulled the control panel plug, squirted some contact cleaner in, plugged it back in and the door has worked faultlessly for the last 7 years...

I paid ~$1300 for 3m by 2.8 roller door fully installed. I think it was 400 installation and posts, $800 for door and $100 for for a slope on the bottom of the door.
What ever you do get a canopy.
