Very weird.
I'll take it if it doesn't belong to someone.

Bunyips.
Nah ... probably went diving and forgot to anchor it. It sounds dodgy to me ... I think they want people to think they have disappeared.

Theres a show on Foxtel called the deadliest catch. They interviewd one guy who from on of those trawlers who said they came into difficulty and the call for abandon ship was given as the ship was to go down. 9 Crew i think all jumped into the water. Only 1 survived. The survivor (from a few years ago) said that he was left in the water with 1 other crew member who eventually died in the ocean, and he got caught in a current and ended up on an island. A rescuse chopped found him and took him to safety. It was later discovered that the boat never sank. The decision to jump in the water cost the lives of 8 people. They would have lived if they stayed on board.
Who knows what happened in this case.

Reminds me of thie movie my wife got out the other week, Adrift. They go for a swim and forget to put the ladder down and can't get back up. They end up killing each other. Supposed to be based on a true story. I won't tell the ending. I found it boring, but my wife loves these sorts of movies, anything that's based on a true story.

There's a few possibilities. I doubt it will end well either way.
May have just stepped off without anchoring! Huge air search on at the moment. A few choppers kicking about here today. Cheers
